In her installations, videos, and photographs, the artist displays the modern world of consumer goods and luxury articles. In her works, she reflects the glamour and luxury of contemporary commercial worlds by critically exploring the material and physical surfaces of things, whose original appearance she modifies substantially. Sylvie Fleury comments upon and stages the make-belief beauty of luxury articles in a subtle and unprecedented fashion.
