The Museum of Modern Art in Vienna (mumok) presents the development of contemporary art in all its facets. The mumok collection encompasses works by prominent artists like Picasso, Warhol, Lassnig and von Bonin and offers a fascinating kaleidoscope of different artistic streams.
The building’s distinctive basalt block in the heart of the MuseumsQuartier is not just an architectural masterpiece. It houses one of the biggest museums in Europe for modern and contemporary art and is a lively meeting point for artists seeking a new perspective.
The museum is currently closed for renovation works until June 6th, 2024, but offers an alternative program until its reopening. "mumok Visits" give art enthusiasts the exclusive opportunity to visit artists in their studios and to explore other institutions.

On the initiative of Dorotheum, all visitors have the opportunity to take part in hourly themed tours and a children’s program, with free admission. The last “Dorotheum-day in the mumok” took place on Sunday, November 19th 2023 from 10:00 to 18:00
