The Photography Auction, which takes place once a year at Dorotheum in Vienna, offers the opportunity to buy and sell both contemporary photography and vintage, classical, historic images from the early days of photography.
The selection includes gelatine silver prints, photos on Baryte paper, modern chromogenic prints, colour photographs, vintage images and later prints.
Our broad range of choice also comprises a large number of works by famous photographers. Works by the Czech avant-garde, including photographs by Frantisek Drtikol, and by the Viennese Actionists, including Valie Export and Rudolf Schwarzkogler, come under the hammer. Photographs by Andreas Groll, Heinrich Kühn, Rudolf Koppitz, Anton Trcka, Trude Fleischmann, Madame d'Ora, Man Ray, Paul Wolff, Franz Hubmann, Ernst Haas, Mario Giacomelli, Elfriede Mejchar, Jan Saudek and Robert F. Hammerstiel are available for purchase. Travel albums are particularly sought after.
