Work from the hands of silver and goldsmiths from the Middle Ages through to the Art Nouveau period are featured in Dorotheum’s silver auctions. Our auctions boast a wide selection of works originating from the large historical centres of silver smithy such as Augsburg, Nuremberg, Vienna, London, Paris, Moscow and St. Petersburg as well as creations from famous workshops such as Carl Peter Fabergé, Pavel Ovchinnikov, Fedor Rückert and Pavel Fedorovich Sazikov. Silverware, such as large sets of table silver, magnificent centrepieces, lidded boxes, samovars, candelabra, icons and display platters also feature regularly in the auctions.

Our silver and antiques auctions also include pieces in metal such as bronzes, objects for display cabinets such as unusual snuffboxes, enamel and cloisonné work.
