Eduard Angeli - vendere e comprare opere

Eduard Angeli is one of today’s best known Austrian painters and graphic artists. Known mainly for his dark, melancholy and densely atmospheric depictions of cities and landscapes, the artist lives and works in both Vienna and Venice.

After studying painting, art education and history at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Angeli moved to Istanbul in 1965, where he taught as a Professor at the Academy of Applied Arts until 1971. After returning to his home city, he presented his works at numerous exhibitions across Europe. In 2003 the highly regarded artist, who enjoys a great deal of respect within the art scene, received the Golden Order of Merit for his services to the state of Vienna.

Several of his paintings are on public display in well-known Austrian institutions such as the Austrian National Bank and the University of Salzburg.

The Albertina in Vienna devoted a major exhibition to Angeli in 2017.
