Tomáš Hlavička studied architecture at the ČVUT. He started working with glass in the early 1980s, when he became Pavel Hlava’s son-in-law, with whom he collaborated. He became a freelance artist in 1986. The author uses his own technique, with which he fuses gold and silver flakes with glass, creating an effect of waving grass or seaweed. He then cuts the objects into precise shapes, which have a playfulness of colors and reflections, creating a sort of movement inside the glass.
